Default 76'ers 2003 Season - What do you think?

With nthe 76'ers in a do or die situation, I was curious as to who has been watching this series and what you have thought about this season. The 76'ers and the Flyers almost seem like clones. Both inconsistent; both with a lot of promise; and both aging fast. Where do we go from here?

Let's hope we have another game Sunday.

Default Brown to retire?

Brown isn't sure he'll return to 76ers

By ROB MAADDI, AP Sports Writer

Quote:
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Larry Brown is considering retirement -- again.

One day after the Philadelphia 76ers' season ended with a disappointing overtime loss to Detroit in the Eastern Conference semifinals, Brown said he isn't sure if he'll return to coach the team next year.

This uncertainty is nothing new, though. The Hall of Fame coach has contemplated retiring after each of the last two seasons, too.

``I have to find out if I can make the team better by staying here,'' Brown said Saturday. ``I don't want to hold this team back. This franchise has been good to me. I don't want to hold it back. If I feel by not being the coach, it will make us better, I'll do that.''
Is this just the same old song and dance? Should he retire? What do you think needs to be done to get a champioship here?

yes, and they both lack offense. get a good offensive player toadd balance to iverson. I like snow but I don;t think he'll ever be able to play consistently without being injured.

I don't think that they have room under the cap to do that much.

They are pretty much stuck with van horn, I wish the guy was a bit more aggressive.

Given that KVH has not been perfect in every game, do you think that he deserved all of the criticism that he seemed to get? I thought that he had a much better year here than he did in NJ last year.

Who would you like to see go?

I'm really torn. One half of me wants to keep as many of the main players and give it one more run, because I love the effort they give almost every game and I appreciate that, especially in today's sports.

On the other hand, I want the team to win a championship and I don't know if that's possible with this team, so maybe they need to completely start over. Even if that means giving up a couple of seasons in order to rebuild.

I don't want to see them give up a couple seasons to rebuild. They've gotta make it happen in the next two years, they need to get a big man #1.

John, do you think brown is gone? I always liked him, but it looks like snyder's pretty much giving him his walking papers.

If it were my decision, I'd do everything I can to keep Brown. I hear the arguments that after enough years, a coach's method starts to fall on the deaf ear's of the players, but Brown is far too good of a coach. It doesn't seem likely he'd fall into that trap as easily as most coaches.

I don't want the team to have to rebuild for a couple of seasons, but I'm getting to the point where it might not be a choice anymore. I really hope the team proves me wrong next season.

Do you think that we can win with Iverson?
