"Celtic are scheduled to take on Porto in the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts on Friday July 23 then face Manchester United at the Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia, five days later." I can't begin to express how excited I am by this potential news. Celtic is my favorite team and I missed seeing them last summer. For them to be playing in Philly is great. For those of you who missed or didn't bother to attend the Manchester United - Barcelona match in August, I strongly suggest you attempt to attend this match. As good as Barcelona fans may be, Celtic fans are very passionate and matches against Man Utd are always exciting events. |

I wanted to, but didn't find out in time. Tickets went like hot cakes, whatever that means.
John Please email me when tickets go on sale. Thanks.

As a matter of fact, yes, there is some news.
http://www.championsworld.com./press...il.asp?prID=35 Philly isn't getting just one game. We're getting two. Wednesday, July 28 – Manchester United v. Celtic (Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia) Monday, August 2 – Chelsea v. AC Milan (Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia) Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning March 30 for all games except the August 3 match between Liverpool and Roma at Giants Stadium. Tickets for that match will be available to the general public starting April 13. For more information about tickets before they go on sale, fans can call 800-380-3208. Complete schedule and ticket information can be found at www.championsworld.com. There are also two games being played up in East Rutherford if anyone is willing to road trip. |

It is really great that the Glasgow Celtic are coming to Philly. This is the team my father grew up supporting and it will give me a chance to see his favorite team with him. We actually have some family coming from Scotland to see the game here.
We already have a club box for the game. UP THE CELTS !!!!!!! |

Any thoughts on the likelihood of the Man United / Celtic game being a day game vs. a night game? I'm hoping to go, but I really can't if it's during the day. Can't find any time info on the Lincoln Financial website.
The MU/Barcelona game last year was an evening match, and I imagine they'd want to do it that way again this time, to maximize viewership. |

Niel, based on the times they played last year, I'd say the games will be a 8 p.m. I'm pretty sure all of them were at that time last year, so it stands to reason they'd continue that trend.
But, like you said, they haven't posted the actual start times yet, so don't hold me to it if I'm complete wrong. ![]() |

For those interested in going to either of the matches, there are still some tickets available for both.
The tickets for the Celtic/Man. Utd. match are upper deck, but at least you'll be there. The Chelsea/AC Milan match has tickets in the lower level available. Also, the games are indeed starting at 8:00 p.m. |
