Default Saint Joseph's University Men's Basketball

Currently ranked #3 by ESPN/USA Today (with one first place vote!) and the AP (with two first place votes!), the team is getting quite a bit of national media attention. Talk of an undefeated season grows with each win.

As the son of two St. Joe's alumni, I'm pulling for them to do well. Maybe they're the best chance for a parade in the city?

Phil Martelli and the St. Joe's Hawks ROCK!!!

They are on fire, and playing some serious ball!

I hope they continue to roll, and can carry this momentum into March and the big dance!

Peace,

J

Go Hawks!

Big game tonight for the Hawks at Temple.

As tough of a year as Temple is having, I don't doubt they're going to give St. Joe's a battle tonight.

Phil Martelli is the man! He has been offered big money at big schools but has decided to stay where he's at because he genuinely likes it. You don't see that too much these days anymore. Go Hawks!

The game is tomorrow, not tonight. I'm going.

You're right. My bad. I don't know why I keep thinking today's the 31st.

The Hawks keep rolling along, winning again last night against a very tough Dayton team, 81-67.

Plus, Mr. Nelson is featured on this week's cover of Sports Illustrated, a first in St. Joe's history.

I wondered that too, but they won last night in the game many experts thought would be the toughest test remaining on the schedule.

Maybe all of the SI jinx on Philly was used up a few weeks ago.

While we could run the schedule out, what do you think our chances are for the Tournament? And, more importantly, who is in for a fun-only pool? ;-)
