Default Can $5 really change the world? Well, we think so!

Dear Friends,
There are some exciting things happening at Saint Miriam! On September 28th we will have a Fall Ingathering with special music and food afterwards! Then, on October 5th we will have an outdoor mass and blessing of the animals for Saint Francis Day! I will post more later! We are here to stay in your community and we need some support. We hope you would be interested in learning about out $5 campaign below! God bless!

Saint Miriam is a small, growing, catholic community in the Roxborough Section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We are an Independent Catholic organization and we reach out every day to those who have fallen away from their catholic heritage. We welcome everyone to the Table of our Lord and we are as a diverse as a community can be!
In less than 6 months, we have grown to well over 45 members with an average Sunday attendance of 25-30! Now, we are trying to implement some unique and wonderful outreach programs. One such program will be specifically geared toward reaching out to former or fallen away Catholic adults who are missing the Sacraments in their lives. Another will be geared toward the founding of the area’s first inclusive and welcoming Pre-K through 3rd Grade School (with the goal of Pre-K through 12th grade one day!) where Gay and Lesbian parents with children, and eventually, gay and lesbian children themselves, can mix safely with their non-gay counter parts in a school that will embrace everyone…just like Saint Miriam.
But, funding is always tough for a mission parish. And, while our pastor has contributed well over $30,000 of his own funds to begin the parish, AND still takes no salary or benefits, we need your help. Won’t you please consider donating directly to our parish? Your contribution is full tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, and it’s easy! Just go to our website http://mysaintmiriam.org/support.html and use Paypal. Yes, even $5 will help us greatly and you will assisting families and children all over the Philadelphia area. I thank you for your love, support, and care.
