Default Episcopal Churches in Roxborough

I would like to learn more about the Episcopal churches in the Roxborough region. Can anyone advise me on the parish communities of St. Aspah's, St. Mary's and St. Timothy's? I prefer a traditional service and a parish with some female leadership.

Margoline, the only congregation of those three I am somewhat familiar with, having some friends who have attended, is St. Timothy's. Their service is fairly traditional, but the sermons are inspiring and thought-provoking from what I have heard. I also heard Rev. Kirk Berlenbach preach at several of the community ecumenical services (i.e. Good Friday) on a couple of occasions and was favorably impressed.

The music is very good generally, from what I have heard. The congregation is very involved with service projects in the community, including involvement with supporting Roxborough Memorial Hospital- which is located right across the street from the church. The pastoral staff is all male, so hopefully that is not a deal-breaker if you are thinking of attending- although if you look at the listing of their vestry, there are several women who are involved in lay leadership there.

St. Mary's has a beautiful sanctuary with picturesque stained glass windows and a neo-gothic cathedral-style structure. I am not familiar with the present pastoral leadership there, however.

I am not familiar with St. Asaph's Episcopal Church- perhaps someone else here on PB can enlighten us about what it is like there...

I hope this helps a bit...
