Didn't you see the movie Dogma with George Carlin, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon? It explains the whole thing.

Viru511, don't you just see these things as common sense? Why does it need to be an official new sin? Do you think corporations will change their policies because of this list? Do you think anyone will? Will you?

Isn't not killing your mother, father, neighbor or not cheating on your spouse, not to mention not stealing, just common sense as well? They're sins. Does it stop those determined?

It's a set of rules for those more inclined to live within rules.

A lock only keeps honest people out.

Funny how similar religion and politics are. When the old laws don't work... just make more.

but its ok to spend way beyond your means right?
It's ok to take out that $350,000 dollar mortgage on a home
that you really can't afford and then expect the government to come and bail our ass out?

Touche.

Though you have to admit it's pretty ballsy for the Vatican to denounce extreme wealth.

Great quotes but if you take away the supernatural, aren't you left with the natural, not unnatural?

The first quote is the best... since it's true that the word of God comes from the Church as proven again by these new sins. I didn't know until this topic came up that the original 7 were relatively new. I had assumed they came from the OT.

Sounds less like Balls, and more like good business sense.
Desperation leads to desperate actions. The poorer you are, the more likely you are to believe in all the wackiness that religion has to offer.
