ACG, if you were a lady who wrote leter to editor, what did you do to help horse?
We are living in society where people who do morally right thing by rescuing animals end up in jail and people who torture animals never get punished.

Tammy contacted humane society and police to get help for dying chained Doogie but nobody was willing to help him.
What she did was her last resort to save Doogie and she knew concequence when she removed dying dog on cold ground to take him to vet for treatment.
She made up her mind to save Doogie despite her fear of being end up in jail as pet theft.
What I cannot understand is why Arnold and his wife are not being punished for animal abuse and neglect?

I would not be a person who writes letters to the editors about issues I feel strongly about, I do something.

People going hungry in Philadelphia and beyond is something I feel strongly about, so what I do is actively give and participate in food banks. It is something I feel strongly about and do something about. I do not feel the need to spout unsubstantiated stories about to play on people's emotions or shame them into participating. People know what is going on in the world and can choose how they participate or don't participate.

Just like the women in the letter to the editor, you have no proof she or Tammy exist. They could be propaganda created by animal rights activist in an attempt to help their own causes. You can never prove that the author of the letter or what is described in the letter is true, but you can provide a copy of the police record of "Tammy" and her troubles with the law stemming from attempting to help an abused animal. I have search and search the internet and can not locate any official documents showing a woman being charged for such action. Police records & court documents are public record. Until I see something like that, Tammy & the author of the letter are as real as Big Bird, Santa Claus, & the Tooth Fairy.

You never did research because there are least hundreds of links about Tammy who rescued Doogie and being punished as pet theft.

My husband and I traveled over 500 miles to attend rally to support Tammy.
My guess is if you were Tammy, you ignored dying dog on end of the chain and felt no guilt for not rescuing innocent totally defenseless dog who even could not stand.
When humane society and police did absolutely nothing to help dog, she took chance of end up in jail to rescue dog!
Actually, I met Tammy three times this year and last time I saw her was about week ago at Harrisburgh capitol when we were attending press conference concerning HB1065.

My intention of exposing incest, brutal treatment of animals by Amish is to make them better people who deserve our respect.
There are bad apples and good apples in almost all group of people.

1. Bash the Amish about one thing at a time. Either this is about animal abuse or sexual abuse. And what a coward bashing a group in a forum where you know they won't be and will have no chance to defend themselves.

2. Back to the subject at hand, "Tammy & Doogie" as you call it. The link to a simple search only provide stories written by people. Show me the arrest warrant or court document stating that a woman of any name is being charged for doing what you describe Tammy doing. There are hundreds of false stories that appear all over the internet, it does not make them true.

You provide one simple piece of official documentation that this woman is being charged with any crime. A yahoo search and stories are not proof. If she is being charged there is a public document available showing the arrest and charges. Until then Tammy & Doogie are only a fable used to lure the feeble minded into following a cause.

FYI, I support Amish farmers. I purchase most of my meat from Amish farmers and participate in a veggie co-op based at a Amish farm.

Of course all animal haters and abusers want to deny about how much Doogie suffered without food and water, chained perpetually in all kinds of weather and never experienced human kindness.
He was so sick. He even couldn't stand!
It takes stone cold hearted much less human to ignore suffering of voiceless animals.

You still have not produced any proof she is being prosecuted by the justice system. That is very simple to prove in a way that I must believe it to be true. Show me the publicly filed court papers.
