I love Christmas and Christianity, but I think HR RES. 847 is ridiculous.
I'd rather see my tax dollars working to end poverty and the war than this nonsense. Most of the legislators involved with the resolution were from "red states"- no surprise there.

Apparently, we're not doing a very good job of controlling the government these days. Addendum: interesting... one of the "nay" votes was from a representative from Virginia, who is an Episcopalian. That's very daring. The rest were no particular surprise: California, Colorado, New York, Washington. Only one of the 9 "nay" voters is Jewish; the rest are various flavors of Protestant.
