Default Pope leads eco-friendly festival

The Catholic Church has declared Sunday "Save Creation Day" as Pope Benedict joined about 300,000 young Roman Catholics for an eco-friendly festival.

That is definitely one issue that I give Pope Benedict and the Vatican kudos on- stewardship of Creation, and a consistent ethic of life.

He is clearly one of the more right-leaning, conservative pontiffs to come along in a while, but there is a consistent position there, that I really respect a great deal, even though I do not entirely agree with the Catholic Church's conservative stances on sexuality and reproductive health- they are consistent....

I like the idea of solar panels on the Vatican!
