Holy Communion has financial problems and a deteriorated physical plant.

You might want to try UniLu at 37th and Chestnut Streets.

Default Lutheran Churches

You'd be welcome at University Lutheran (well, I assume you'd be welcome at any of the congregations, but UniLu's the one I attend). Northeast corner of 37th & Chestnut, across 37th Street walkway from International House. Parking behind the church--halfway down Ludlow between 38th and 36th; enter Ludlow from northbound 38th Street between Chestnut and Market (new eastbound traffic direction on Ludlow due to construction). Sunday morning worship is at 10:30 and there's a bunch of information on the website.
