Default New Produce Market - 16th and South

I heard that the owner of Pumpkin is opening up a new fresh produce market across from the Pumpkin market at 16th and South. This is very exciting, and hopefully their prices will be competitive so people will support the store. I heard it should be open in a few months. There is a dumpster out front now, so they have begun working on it! Good news for the neighborhood!!!

It is true that Pumpkin is opening a produce market across the street in the Odds and Ends location, but the dumpster is not realated. It looks like that is for work going on next to Apamate.

The owner of Pumpkin will be presenting at the SOSNA zoning meeting next wednesday if you want to come out and voice your support, or make requests.

I'm a big fan of Pumpkin Market and hope this place is nice.

Was in Pumpkin Market the other day. Heard them saying the place across the street to open in October. I'm looking forward to the return of olives for sale per lb. Yum!

for what it's worth, the sign in the window of the building where Pumpkin Produce is going in also references meat and dairy products as well . . .

Oh, I forgot to report that I was in the new place on Sunday snooping and chatting with the owner. They are still planning on an early August opening, not October, and by the looks of it they are on target.

The place looks cute, similar colors (pumpkin related) to the market, peg board with hanging baskets going up on some walls, baskets hanging from exposed decorative barn rafters above.

I think it's going to look very nice and be a great addition, if it is half as good as their other two stores I'm sure we'll all be happy to have it near by.

I'm tremendously excited about the new market!

And, I saw the big paper sign saying Restaurant Coming just next to the future market . I hadn't seen anything about this yet - but sorry if you had - anyway, I chatted with the fellas and they are bringing a Mediterranean BYO! French/italian....excellent!

Yes, we walked by the other day & saw both too. Both places look like they're coming along very nicely. Very exciting stuff!

Default The market is great!

I stopped by Pumpkin Produce today and I am very excited about this wonderful addition to the eastern side of the neighborhood.

All items are local and most are organic. All of the basics like milk, yogurt, fresh bread, coffee, and the produce! I tried a lemon cucumber today (never heard of that). Chili peppers, fresh potatoes, herbs -- I could go on.

They also have frozen meats and pastas. Fresh granola, flowers, and samples galore!

This place will definitely be my go-to spot for produce now (no more after work runs to Whole Foods).
