Default Mailing Boxes

Where are the mailing boxes that pick-up at 3pm gone? I was looking for one last week (it was about 1pm) and could not find one.

Does any one know how to request a change of pick-up time?

I have no idea how to request a change of pickup time, but there is/was a 5:00 p.m. mailbox in front of Omega Pizza, NW corner of 22nd and South.

I believe the last pickup at 22nd & South is 12:30 or 1:30, depending on week days or Saturday...at least that's what's posted inside the mail box. That's why I end up dashing to Gray's Ferry at the end of the day.

My guess is the OP isn't American. For example, in England they are Post Boxes, so I'm just assuming "Mailing Boxes" was just an attempt to use the proper American lingo. I know, it's a stretch.

Smile Lolly's right!

The OP is a French native. The phrase was an attempt to differentiate between the slot in the door and the big blue box, both of which are boxes used for mailing.

Lolly, you rock.

OP's SO (Significant Other.)

I use the box at Pine & Broad, on Pine across from Starbucks, it is collected at 5:00 PM. The box at 1840 South is also collected at 5:00.

Here is a link to boxes in the ZIP:

At least as of several weeks ago, the box at 22nd and Catharine gets emptied at 3 p.m.

Thank you to Bobbyl, that is helpful and I also "re-mercy" Swiftlyons for being so kind.

There's a box at 20th and Bainbridge that may be more convenient for you, although I don't know when it is emptied.
