Default New neighbor

Can a 12 day old join the group? He isn't up for much play, just eating and pooping and sleeping and crying.

He is obviously new to the neighborhood.

If the 12 day old's mother can actually get out of bed and manage to walk, you're more than welcome. But we'll wait for you if you want to do something crazy like rest up.

Default I apologize....

I'm sorry if my post sounded terse.....I guess I shouldn't respond after working a 24 hour shift....
I was simply trying to point out that there are many different styles of 'working' parents....that for those of us that work a different type of work week, it was finally nice to have something that wasn't geared towards the 9-5 folk...

How about septuageneraiens? Can they come and play, too?

And my delivery could have been more diplomatic. My point was that the time chosen will exclude most working parents whose kids might otherwise benefit from some type of organized activity.
As a practical matter I understand that its harder to squeeze a later time in between dinner and bed time.

To the person who voiced similar concerns, I'm all for a Saturday morning thing.

Living across the street we are there almost daily (in this weather), early evening before dinner sometime between 5 - 7 give/take or a couple times on Saturday when nothing else is going on.

Sunday mornings, 10am, we are at Taney after pee-wee t-ball with about 8 billion other 3-4 year olds. If anyone is looking for mayhem, you now know where to find it.

Good job, parents on organizing a play group or groups. I think that is great stuff.

At our first meeting, I counted 10 moms/nannies and 11 children. The age range was between 7months and 2 1/2 years. It was nice to see so many neighborhood families together. I just wanted to remind everyone that we’ll meet again this Wednesday at the Marion Anderson playground around 3-ish. Please feel welcome to join us!

Default ..on the playground theme....

One day last week (not wednesday)..... I managed to schlep my 2 children (4 months and 20 months, which is a major accomplishment).....down to the park around 3'ish hoping to catch someone else there and it was locked and no one was there?????
Are there certain hours that it's open???? I didn't see anything posted....and my son was so disappointed.
