Having said that, I do hope this mural will be attractive & colorful. I think that can be tricky sometimes with portraits. (For example I think the banners of Marian Anderson throughout her "Village" are very boring, from a design/color perspective. I would have preferred to see them done with a much brighter, eye-catching, design.)

Well for your sake at least I hope the mural will be something you will be happy looking at -- since you'll be staring straight at it a lot more often than me!

There are some beautiful and inspirational murals - and then there are some tragic ones (like the kiddie artwork one on 20th).

Well I guess tragedy is in the eye of the beholder. I like that one. I might like others better, but I'll take that (& most other murals I've seen) over a blank wall. And I think it's nice that the kids worked on that one.
