Hi, I'd have a real problem with you employing a device that tortures my dog from a hundred yards away every time he barks. When he barks, it's to bring my attention to something significant, like someone at my door ... or a person coming through my window. I hope you don't live near me.

Out of sheer curiosity, have you taken up the issue with your neighbor who has the annoying dog?

I don't get this. And then they expect us not to retaliate against these people with some kind of vandalism. I'm not into hurting dogs so I take it out on their house and not the dog.
What do you think about this? Am I totally crazy for thinking this is crazy?

I was about to say the same thing! You gotta deal with it, as annoying as it is...you live in a city, very close to people, sometimes you gotta suck it up and deal with crap like that.

Really? So a dog being left outside all day and night who's not being loved and is barking it's head off constantly is something I should just suck up, according to you? Do I understand this? ACTUALLY I have a dog, she goes out to pee, and thats it... during the summer, yeah I will leave her in the yard so she can play out there... leaving the dog out there all day and night isn't right... if its for a few hours here and there while they are at work, or running errands, then I'd say suck it up... if the dog, is in fact, out there all day and night- then the police aren't who you call, it's animal control because the dog is being neglected if it is outside 24 hours a day. Either way, it's still no excuse to even think about vandalizing the neighbors house... So to summarize: A few hours a day- suck it up... All day and night- call the authorities to take care of the dog....vandalizing a neighbors house for a barking dog- just dumb to think about doing
