I'm sure the new owners will follow up with details in due time.

I guess you mean The Beauty Shop Cafe on 20th & Fitzwater? Or is there another new coffee shop opening soon on 19th too!??

Yep, that's the one. I know it doesn't look like much from the outside & they have all the windows covered, but we walked past the other day while the door was open & spoke to the owner. He did say they were nearly there -- still had a floor to lay & some other work to do, but were planning to open very soon. I guess signs outside can go up pretty quickly & as soon as the paper comes down from the windows all will become apparent.

Well, I hope it works out better than Jovay(sp) Java...

What makes this coffee shop a more impressive accomplishment is that the first floor was at least partially gutted by fire just about a year ago. The fire department put it down pretty quickly, but when I came by, just after they arrived, the store room appeared to be pretty well engulfed.

I went by last week too and it did not look ready- it'd great if it was- I used to live on that block and it will be a great addition.

Poor Jovay (sp). I hear rumor that Pumpkin Market is considering buying their espresso machine but might not have enough power to run it.

Off topic, but Pumpkin started selling Bassetts ice cream yesterday!
