wow! Our neighborhood is finally getting some commercial interest south of south street. I wrote in an earlier post about "Grace's Tavern" now open at 23rd and Grays Ferry. (Last week they were serving monks food and a mix of nodding head and monks beer.) We were talking to the owner (Tom) and he said the place next to him has been bought by a couple who is going to open a flower shop there (2227 Grays Ferry Ave). The place at the corner of 23rd and Bainbridge, "Samson & Delilahs" hopes to open next week as a hip haircutting place, the owner told me $30 for women, $20 for men cuts. There is going to be a cafe opening in the building next to the hardware store on grays ferry ave too.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good coffee shop!! Anyone else have any dirt?

Nice, I looked in that area for my last house and got priced out big time...but amenities (neighborhood type) are definitely needed, I'm glad to hear that those kinds of places are finally coming in. Keep us posted.
