Default Universal Gets off their asses and lets someone else build!!!

I'm copying this from the center city board because it effects us East End G-Ho residents posibally more then any other development announcement in recent memory:

Quote:
777 South Broad
Dranoff Properties is having an open house this week that features this announcement:

777 South Broad Street
The unveiling of Dranoff’s proposed upscale residential building
on The Avenue of the Arts will boast a new opportunity of
40,000 sf of prime retail space

That's Broad and Catharine.

I'll post whatever I learn about the building(s) at the event.

That's the site where Universal proposed a commercial building 2 years back, no?

This bodes well for the area on Broad Street south of South!
I think that is fantastic news!!!

I seem to remember some sort of partnership between Dranoff and Universal regarding Symphony House...I think Universal was particularly excited at the prospect of development moving South...

I actually think this is a really great relationship for Universal, and presumably for Dranoff too...

I could be wrong but I also thought Dranoff was also interested in the NW corner of Broad and Market???

its worth checking out his site...

www.dranoffproperties.com

They mention is plan to develop a mile south on Broad...

Also...i recently suggested a neighborhood name based on SOuth to Washington BROad to River...SOWBRO...needless to say I am flattered that Carl Dranoff is thinkning the same way...instead though he has chosen SOuth BROad...SoBro...essentially the same thing...

You must be wrong on the precise location. There is no such place as Broad & Market, unless you count City Hall courtyard.
