BTW, I was at Ten Stone last night when about 20 Police cars backed up on that block of South St. I witnessed two arrests. It appears they caught two people involved with (I believe) an armed mugging.

Score one for the Philly Police, you go guys!

We had a fire scare, but I don't think it was actually related. It did waste the time of 3 trucks worth of Philly Fire Fighters, and therefor a bunch of tax payers money, so score one for the Philly hoods.

Does anyone know the address for the website that posts the fire reports?

I remember reading it on here, but can't find it in the search.

I swear, every night is like mischeif night lately. That is like the 5th mugging I haver heard about. What is going on? Is it just because I am more connected now through the interenet, etc. or do you think there is a "serial mugger"?!

What time was the mugging incident last night? My wife and I were walking back from Rittenhouse on 19th when I noticed we were being followed by someone. We returned to the park and walked down 18th. We actually stopped a Police officer at Graduate Hospital to tell him what we saw. He then went down 19th to see if the guy was still around.

That was the first time I felt unsafe in quite a while. Is there more info on recent local muggings?

Crime is up in every neighborhood. Take a look at any of the forums on the blog and you'll see the same basic question - What's up with the increased crime?

The Daily Pennsylvanian is covering a series of muggings on or near Penn's campus. And they're asking the same question too.

It was around 9:30 / 10pm.

Wonder if the guy we saw involved. I would guess he was following us between 9-9:30.
