A fantastic shell just waiting for the right investor. A great opportunity to get into the rapidly appreciating Graduate Hospital area. Don't miss out!!

An investor's dream - a shell just south of Washington in an incredibly fast turning South Philly neighborhood. This will not last long.

Unhappy

Im in the market for a home (rental building we are in is for sale )

Im seeing all kinds of "misleading" descriptions.
Like "Bella Vista" being waaay far south (as in "Stadium").
Or Society Hill South of South street?

I guess they are going for those NYC investors comming down on the busses?

Well, since "grad hospital" isn't an official name of anything except, of course, the hospital itself, I guess people can play fast and loose with that one, but I'd think some other neighborhoods would be tougher to stretch like that. I know in Roxborough I see houses advertised with "walk to Main Street and public transportation" when they can't get away with calling them "Manayunk" because they are too far up the hill. And I met a guy once who kept saying he was "buying a house in Manayunk" but when we finally discussed what street, it was between Ridge & Henry and a bit farther out than Gorgas Park -- which is really, undebatably, Roxborough, and not even central Rox anymore and definitely not Manayunk!

I've heard lots of things that are really more part of South Philly are being advertised as Center City these days, too.

Center City is Spring Garden Street to the north, South Street to the south, the Delaware River to the east, and Schyukill River to the west.

Anything outside these boundaries is NOT Center City.

The extended boundaries are Girard Ave. to Washington Ave. and into West Philly (U-City, Powelton Village, Cedar Park, etc).

Some people from northeast Philadelphia believe if its not
the Northeast, then its Center City.
