Joely,
Are you trying to be a dick or is it simply in your nature? Do me a favor and don't quote me in any more of your posts. I don't appreciate being associated with your rants.

In the future, instead of just sitting on the internet bitching about all of the conspiracies in the city, why don't you do something about it and get involved in your community?

Judging by this guy's long-winded pontifications, I'd say it's both. It's seems to be in his nature to be a tool...or at least intentionally obtuse (in an infantile way). I've been reading this and other threads dedicated to the yet-to-be-opened O-Sandwich shop and have just been howling as I read Joely's posts (God, I hope I don't misspell sandwich <trembling> I don't know if I can stand that razor wit!!)

My hand to God, I've never been even remotely this entertained by an online forum. I'm dying over here. It's like Days of our Sandwich Shop, only in a kind of garbled, hard to follow, pseudo intellectual longhand. ("Like grains of sand through the hourglass...")

Please keep this thread going. I'm emailing friends and telling them to check it out. What will happen on tomorrow's episode? Will Veronica discover that Joely is really a partner in O-Sandwich AND she's carrying his illegitimate baby?!?!

Thanks for bringing it up again ... I misplaced the thread. First of all I must apologize for calling it O-Sandwich, sometimes O-Sandwhich, and on occasion O-Sandwitch. It is in fact, "O-Sandwiches."

I was by the place yesterday.

No I did not eat there because it is not open yet. And if I did eat there I am not saying because you already know how effective the Civic Group UberZoningGruppen can be. There are serious fines for that kind of thing.

However, I am in complete agreement with the South Street Headhouse District that those Handout Restaurants need to be stopped. They definitely interfere with family values.

"Handout restaurant? You mean takeout restaurant, I presume?"

Nope. I do not think takeout restaurants affect family values. They wrap the sandwitch, err sandwhich, and they charge you tax and out you go.

Handout Restaurants are those restaurants that have a special permit from the Zoning Board to HANDOUT say a sample of Choca-Mocha Ice Cream right on the sidewalk. The girl stands there when business is slow and HANDS OUT freebies. I just had that at 8th and Walnut Streets at the Starbucks'.

Now I am careful. I throw my wooden spoon wrapper, the discarded ice cream container, the napkin, the spoon, the cover, the paper in between the cover and the container, EVERYTHING, and all other refuse right into a basket. Why? I am worried about those UbenGrupper guys.

SO HOW does this negatively impact family values?

Well you see, so many people today believe that there really is a free lunch. After all, they build fancy houses and their neighbors pay for the garbage pick up and stuff. Those are not family values, you know. Same for free HANDOUTS on the street.

Welcome to PB Eddy333.

I am glad we could amuse you.

We can all visit Joely once he gets his stinkin O'Sanwich shop opened up.

Whatever you do, be sure to misspell Joely's O'Sandmich shop, that way it won't show up when someone Google's it and everyone will go to Pat's and Geno's instead....and it will have the pleasurable side effect of making Joely (more) crazy.

Good one Uncle Cranky. As clarification, I have no interest either
professional, personal or business at O-Sandwiches.

But I bet you guys will be over there constantly,
just to see if I am there!

GOD!! I LOVE it. What the hell is he talking about?? Is the sandwich shop giving out samples or taking in their tables? Or does the vent stay open late in the easement because the ZBA boarded up Passyunk Square?

Keep it coming, dude

It would make more sense if you did. If you have no professional interest in O-Sandwich, then I suggest you see a therapist about this unhealthy (but tasty!!) obsession

You missed this part:

This part happened at the Starbucks' Restaurant which is licensed for HANDOUT. That is not family values.

A soon sandmhich shop owner with a sense of humor....that's hard to come by these days.

Don't worry J. I live right around the corner. I will make sure to stop by with David Auspitz for the Grand Opening. Will Tom Cruise be on hand (the alien connection)?

Eddy,

You are a sharp guy. I see that you know all the trivia about the
vents and all the fine points that make this such an interesting tale.

You will have no trouble passing the final. Do not worry!
