REPLY
Of course NO ONE has tried the sandwich YET. The reason is because Uncle Cranky and his minions have prevented the shop from opening. I do not believe they have their zoning vairance yet because the vent blows into an easement that one person can faintly hear when his hearing aid is turned way up. Nevermind all the air conditioners humming away. As we speak we are waiting for the results of a sound test to be posted into the Congressional Record or something. CRANKY, please reread: I can tell from the looks of the sandwich and from the looks of the principals (owners), that it will be great. They have a huge background in excellent cuisine. I sure hope you understand why. This is not to say that other places who hire kids right out of high school with no interest in food, but who cannot find work elsewhere, and are paid minimum wage, plus all the greasy sandwiches they can devour are not top notch restaurant people too! Maybe they are. Joel Quote:

Joely has been kind enough to add minions to my posse.
I have never had minions before, it feels kind of alien to me. "OK minions, your first job is to eat lots of store bought sandwiches on China with David Auspitz." -UC |

Good try Crankster.
Even if I had eaten an O-Sandwich I guess I wouldn't post it on a public forum now would I? Remember, those guys still are not open thanks to all the complaints from the Passyunk Square Triangular Authority. Joel

Mr. Cranky,
As you can see from the image, someone searching for O-Sandwich at Google or searching for something else can find PhillyBlog and O-Sandwich a little easier than without our conversations. That is the beauty of the internet. That is my point, whether its Caffe Carmen or Figs in Fairmount or Jessica Litt's House of tea, or O-Sandwich, we can use the internet to help our neighbors. Now these folks have not asked for any help, nor are they most likely aware of it, but we can help them just the same. Its a neighborly thing to do. And in the long run, we will all benefit. Wal-Mart and Target are our neighbors too. But they do not need our help at all. Besides, their profits will flow down to Benton, Arkansas. Conversely Jessica Litt's profits stay right here in our area. So its neighbors helping neighbors! The small independent business person truly appreciates our referrals and our recommendations. So here ya go ....... enjoy an O-Sandwich! Joely .. ![]() ... Here is the case where someone has got the spelling right, O-Sandwich, knows its in Philadelphia, but has never heard of PhillyBlog. See how we at PhillyBlog benefit from this little promo? Its called one hand washing the other. Why go to Famous Dave's when we have O-sandwich right here? Joel SEARCH FOR O-SANDWICH and PHILADELPHIA: .. ![]() .. And lastly, here is Mr. Cranky feeling mighty hungry, wanting an O-Sandwich and searching for it. Mr. Cranky was last seen over at Famous Dave's trying to get some of the grease stains out of his shirt. .. ![]() ... Joel
