don't egg and cheese on long rolls basically taste the same no matter where you get them from?

straying from the original question but my best cheap eats breakfast especially if you like mexican is taqueria veracruzana at 9th and washington. $6 will get you a huge plate of eggs mixed with a combo of other things that are amazing

Really? I've never eaten there despite it being a stones throw from my house

I wouldn't say it's "the best", but I have no complaints with the breakfast bagel. I'm also close by and it's cheap.

george's roast pork in the italian market. egg, cheese and bacon or sausage on a fresh long roll for like 3 bucks. can't be beat.

El Jarocho (sp?) on 13th and Elsworth has a good Mex-style breakfast sandwich. Cheap and Yummers. Incidentally, they have great guacamole also.

Close !!! It is pretty bad when you can't cook a egg!!!! The bagels are good. I tried the breakfast 4 different times and it's below par. What the hell is so hard about cooking a decent run of the mill breakfast?
