Hi guys, searched through all the dentist threads and didn't find any reference to Dr. Giordano (2530 S Broad). Looking for a new dentist and this one is right up the street from me. Has anyone here used this dentist? I have Aetna if that helps if anyone wants to make other recommendations. Thanks in advance.

There's a Dr. Ruggerio in that vicinity. I haven't been to him, though. I used to go to his father.
If you're willing to go to Center City, I'd recommend Dr. Richard Misher. 17th and Locust. He's terrific. I think he accepts Aetna, too. BTW, you shocked me for a second when you listed Dr. Giordano on Broad Street. That was the pediatrician I used to go to (30 years ago!) and he couldn't possibly still be alive, much less practicing! I highly recommend Dr. Frank Matarazzo. He's at 2416 S. Broad St. I've been going to him for 25 years. He is top notch and never hurts.
215 389-3161 I remember Dr Giordano, the pediatrician. He was a great, down to earth, but he passed away many years ago. Last edited by SPhillyNative : 06-25-2008 at 08:59 PM. |

I highly recommend Dr Steven Shipon on South Broad Street. I have been going there since January of 2000. http://www.cosmetic-dentist-philadel...ipon-staff.htm
I went to see Dr Giordano first back in January of 2000 and he said I had 3 cavities. I don’t know what he saw because it’s been 8 years and no cavities were found and none have developed. |

Looks like I'll be dealing with Dr. Shipon. He doesn't take my insurance anymore, but my crappy insurance doesn't cover what I need to get fixed anyway (I have a chipped tooth I need to get bonded) and I've heard good things from others about this dentist as well. alfa3v - you've been going to him for a while, have you ever had any bonding work done by this doc? Is it really pricy?

I am not exactly sure if i had bonding work, but i had chipped lowwer front teeth. Dr Shipon did a procedure where he applied a cement like substance to the broken area and re-shaped the teeth. My insurance covered a part of the cost but i had to pay a few hundred out of pocket. Let him know about your insurance situation. He was very generous with me when i was not covered for a procedure. Hope that helps. |
