Default Gladstone Street

What's the area around 3rd and Gladstone Street like? Crime Rate? Family Oriented?? "Neighborhood" feel?

It's generally safe. Lot's of old established families. Plenty of mummers. Mostly blue-collar. Close to shopping at either Whitman or Snyder Plazas. Close to bus routes. I'm close by, so that in itself should be a huge plus for the neighborhood.

Good friend of mine lives on 3rd facing Gladstone. Great spot . . . tight community and VERY family-oriented.

Pretty good and mostly safe street, aside from the small cluster of junkies. They aren't usually a problem, but, a few times out of the year the cops will be there because of that sort of thing. You're pretty close to major SEPTA routes, all the stores and food places on Oregon Avenue, Snyder, and Delaware Avenue and other conveniences . Corner stores just about every couple of blocks, with Richie's being right on 3rd & Porter. You're also in a pretty good range of the corner bars Coley's,which, is owned by relatives of mine, is right across the street from Richie's.

Yeah, but you'll be just about far enough away not to hear the absolutely horrible karaoke stars.
