I second Simon. From a convenience standpoint though, it's close to so much. And if you drive, you'll never have trouble parking.
That particular block has a lot of kids and general loitering. It's not dangerous, I walk through it almost every day, but if you're someone like me who would freak out when people sit on your steps the 1500 block of Federal is not for you. I live in the 1700 block and it's much quieter. |

It's still really pricey-the difficulty with this area is that it is in demand because it's so close to the broad street line, but at the same time, there's a LOT of section 8 housing from ellsworth to wharton between broad and 16th street. As with all RE issues, give it time....
