Its about PEOPLE not about the buildings. Its not Achitectural Digest.

So you want articles to be like "how to cram a washer dryer into a little house"

Actually there should be a article about a recipe for peppers and eggs.

Default not row house magazine

Hi,
If you can get a hold of Inspired House magazine ,now out of print but back issues still available via Taunton press, that might give you some ideas. Tuanton press has a few other series, including Fine Homebuilding which might be of interest. Every year they do a kitchen and bath special issues and they tend to focus on normal houses-- ie not mcmansions.

Also look at the books that are called Not So Big House--once again good decorating ideas.

1) It is free.

2) It is published by a staff of 2.

Based on that, I think it is fine.

I think the problem is that "Row Home" is even in the title of the magazine. It leads one to believe it is about row home living (hence design issues, remodels, DIY). Many think is is a local kind of like a Domino or Dwell. In reality it is a VERY editorially light, ad heavy magazine with a different focus.

Default publication about phila row homes

Of possible interest to those following this thread is another discussion in the QV forum regarding an Inquirer article about row homes and a link to an "owners manual" 52 page pdf document.

The Row Home Manual has been under discussion in the Architecture forum for ages.

The thing that irritates me about Row Home magazine is whenever they do feature a house, it's either a palace on Broad St five houses knocked together by someone from a bread-baking dynasty, neither of which give me any ideas on what to do with the spaces (900-1800 sq ft) that we all actually live in.
