The times I was in B2 on Saturday, it was SO busy that you had to try and get someone's attention to order. This was understandable due to how crazy it was and that the people working there had been going non-stop. After waiting and not getting attention from the coffee ladies, all we had to do was say "excuse me" to the woman closest to us. One of the times a woman looked up and said something about being on the dish-washing station but that she still would be happy to help us. Ta da!

I suppose good coffee (and smoothie) come to those who help themselves by getting the servers attention. And I can't imagine that anyone will get ignored when things calm down. At least I hope not.

And I'm sorry I missed the minuets - I'd rather hear them because they are a prettier tune. (You made me do it, Dean)

Now back to more important things - has anyone seen my shirt?* I still have hope of getting it back, but less and less...

*seriously - forest green t-shirt that says "Bulldog Athletics" on it. Lost on Passyunk Ave.

Default great addition to the hood

There's more than enough coffee drinkers in our neighborhood to support B2 and the others. I think Nancy does a great job of creating a great environment to enjoy good java and great healthy snacks and drinks. More opportunities for connecting with our community and creating more positive change for everyone.

Also they are coming from a bit of a different system unless it is empty and you meander in and sit down often the folks are looking to house right server left for the customers lined up at the door to dispense the beverages and tasty treats.

So I personally apologize for you not getting the attention you deserved as I may have been in line distracting them with my order ...

I stopped by yesterday to check out B2. It is super-cute! The service was friendly and prompt, and my iced coffee was fantastic. I ran into a friend afterward who told me they have vegan soft serve! Whaaaat?! That is amazing. I foresee many late summer afternoons at B2. A great addition to the neighborhood.

If there is a big line of people out the door waiting to get coffee and you walk in and sit down at the bar, you might have to wait a bit as they usually seem to serve the folks waiting in line first and then check on people sitting at the bar.

If you sit at a table you usually wait in the line place your order, sit, and then they will bring it to your table.

The line seemed quite neverending while I was there so if you skipped the line and just sat at the bar, you might not have gotten served unless you flagged someone down.

These are just my observations and may or may not reflect the reality of the situation.

I am so loving the bring you own mug/cup/glass/thermos, save a dollar policy. I wish that POPE would institute this, as well. Then I can have that $3 pint of Kensinger, instead of the $4 one.

So if I brought a stein, would they fill it all the way with coffee and give me a one dollar discount?

I like B2, I am glad it is there and prefer it to E's. But they don't give you a whole lot of coffee for a coffee shop. But man, I had the chocolate croissant on Saturday, god that thing was good.

Oddly enough, we've been using these ceramic beer mugs that hold 500ml, just a little more than a pint. The glasses they use for the large coffees at both locations are pint glasses. That seems like a decent amount to me, about like any other cafe.
