None worth eating that I know of, though that will be changing soon. If your definition of 'South Philly' is 'South of South St.', then there's Hikaru, on 2nd between South and Bainbridge.

There's also a place called Terryin which is located at 3rd and Snyder.
It's one of those Chinese /Japanese places but the sushi is actually quite good! I've never eaten in at the restaurant, but they do deliver and their sushi is good and fairly priced. Nice option to have sushi delivered I think. For a true Sushi dining experience the closest place is truly Hikaru on 2nd Street. |

If you're desperate and your definition of edible sushi is equal to or greater than supermarket prepackaged sushi, then Ruby Buffet is OK. I went to grab dinner there last night (2nd time there) and the food was again decent, although the clientèle seemed to be of lesser to my liking this time. There were lots of large families with young kids and idiotic parents who try to skimp on the bill by lying about the age of their kids, so there's always some squabble as they pay. Also, as the parents ate, the kids were usually yelling, rolling on the floor, or doing laps around the restaurant. Next time I'm getting my food to go. I noticed the flyer on the counter saying food to go is $5/lb.
