yellow means prepare to stop, not speed up.

In my previous car, I was rear ended 4 times, because drivers don't pay attention and were tailgating on top of that. I was also T-bone in that car at an intersection. i felt like I was driving a bumper car at one point. Thank god all the folks that hit me had insurance.

but don't blame the cameras for people's bad driving habits. In fact, I think we need more cameras, they should be at all major intersections. less traffic violations for cops to deal with, so they can concentrate on the more serious crimes.

I have a newborn, and when driving around, it scares me how stupid some people drive, with total disregard for the safety of the other drivers on the road.

Then people who live in NE Philly really need to learn how to drive.

I use to live in far NE, on Woodhaven Road, by Franklin Mills. Drivers often take Rt 1 for I-95. It was common to see drivers speeding on R-1 doing close to or exceeding 80 MPH. Racing was also common.

And running red lights. A few years ago, coming down Roosevelt back into the city, I almost got T-boned twice by drivers crossing the Blvd who hadn't stopped at their red lights.

Of course, the whole thing should be sunk and turned into a limited-access road, but that's another discussion for another time.

If you're going through an intersection with a light and it's yellow when you begin to cross but than the light turns red as you're halfway across, does that count as running a light?

yes, add 3 points to your driving record.

it happened to me back in '03 (maybe early '04). I went to traffic court, and did a plea bargain. pay the fine, and got no points added.

If your caught with a photo no points, A yellow light should remain on for 6 to7 seconds. some are much quicker in SP.

Yeah, I like em in Jersey... I call long Yellow lights- Jersey Yellows, I swear they all stay yellow for at least 6 or 7 seconds over there.
