Default St Agnes Parking garage on McKean st...

Does anyone know the deal with this lot? It still has prices posted, but I never see a guard or even a gate... somone has told me that its actually an open lot now... but I am very hesitant to park my car in there unless I know for sure, I figured before I called around to the hospital (or whatever it actually is now... medical campus I guess), I'd see if anyone on here has used it or knows anything about it.
Oh yeah... it's on McKean between Broad and 15th, basically right on the corner of 15th.... It would be helpful since I get home from work around 11pm usually, and with the taproom business booming, I often have troubles finding a spot with a block or two of my house!

The oldman down the street from me rented a spot there 2 yrs ago when it was St Agnes burn center, but he claimed they rasied the fee and he left .I think he said it went up to $90 a month. but since then they have new owners, go in and ask the guard at the desk.

Default st agnes parking garage...

St Agnes is now a long term acute care hospital....and also a skilled nursing facility and hospice..fyi.

I don't have a car, I walk or take the bus to work (I work there as an RT), so I'm not totally up on the pricing....but I believe it's 2.00 a day for employees. What they charge monthly, I can't recall...they did tell me when I was hired, but I promptly forgot...'cause I didn't need the info.

If you go at the info desk, I'm sure the guards or the switchboard operator can help you.

Just a heads up....on occasion, people do break into the cars..a few co-workers had their cars broken into...one had the window broken.....and the cameras didn't catch the action. Go figure.

They never had monthly parking for the staff, let alone neighbors.

Whoops....I should have said biweekly....they deduct the charges out of your pay and (I believe) give you a swipey card thing....but I'm not sure what they charge...I'm sorry.

Mind, if you are visiting a patient...they don't charge anything...we stamp the visitor's ticket so they don't get charged.

I think it's used by Methodist Hospital employees who hop on a shuttle or walk down Broad to the hospital.

Well as a matter of fact I talked to the gentleman last night, and he said it was 5 or 6 years ago he rented a spot in St. agnes for 50 a month, then they raised it and he left. No I don't work there but I live here.

Alright then. I haven't worked there in seven years and perhapes they started to offer it after I left.
I don't see where everyone would have parked. It was a busy garage. Often I had to park on the roof. When they were building the helipad it was hell getting a spot since the first floor was reserved for doctors and the ones closest to the elevator were handicapped parking. I sometimes took my chances and parked in a doctor spot. I don't think Dr. Tayoun was any worse for the wear of walking down a flight of steps.
