All I heard so far on the news is that it was a possible murder suicide but nothing more. This is very close to where I live...very disconcerting.

i live in the area as well, and have to say, i'm really starting to think it's going downhill. with the assault at 13th & Moore this past week, the addicts i see walking around all the time anymore on the streets, etc....may be time to get out!

I know it sounds ominous Boxgirl but don't throw the towel in just yet. We all would be running for the hills if we heard every thing that happens on the streets. TG, we do not b/c......like I said, we'd be running outta town.

Plus, I'd hate to lose you as a neighbor!

P.S. Where are you seeing these addicts roving around? Just curious.

Here's more info. Sounds like a "domestic violence" incident. Still horrible, but hardly random.

Thanks Rocky I just feel that there's alot of shady stuff going on lately. i see the addicts roam around on mifflin-they roam the area. i see these two people that seem to live right on the corner of mifflin and 12th....i see what they're up too....they're clearly crack addicts and they always whistle for each other, meet up and go into a house. a bit obvious but i have no proof.

not planning on moving just yet but am thinking of possibly getting out of the area by the time kindergarten starts

and...the ice cream trucks coming down our streets-read the post on that....we have always been suspicious on this as well. wouldn't be surprised that the guy isn't selling ice cream like some others were saying.

enjoy the night and be safe.

Default true....

I agree (as I started the inquisition of the Ice cream truck post and was completely naieve about it!) and you must be around me because I know EXACTLY Where the addicts are you speak of near mifflin & 12th. (Ps it's not just addicts there's prostitues from time to time.)

I could give you specific address if you'd like as well as a satellite location they work from on Sartain and Mifflin.

I have witnessed and reported this several times and as a matter of fact was just discussing this with a community member regarding what can be done about it.

Don't give up! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! (I am trying but I am only one person!)
