Anyone know what they are putting up behind that super fresh on delaware ave? I'd assume probably more pier\shipping warehouses... but was hoping maybe some store or something along those lines...

I can't believe that no one knows what is being built.

I don't know, my girlfriend works at the famous daves across the street and said the construction guys come in for food and won't even tell them what it is. I'm guessing its just another pier building, something for the ships... but not sure

I have been investigating this with out much luck. It definetly looks like a warehouse or shipping facility rather than retail. It almost looks like an airplane/helicopter hanger. Also the kind of storage building they have at a marina.

Pressi: No! I want to know what that building is going to be.
Cindy: Hold on. [turning to coworker] I've got some nut on the phone asking questions about a building behind us or something. What should I tell him?
Coworker: Just tell him it's a parking lot and maybe he'll go away.

The building is a warehouse for outbound paper shipments.

ha ha...exactly! It may be true, I just never would have thought to ask them at the Super Fresh... I was going to ask some of the dockworkers at the pier its actually being built on though. I thought maybe it had something to do with the Dredging project they are going to be doing to the river. I do see the ships being unloaded with the big rolls of paper right at the end of Snyder all the time... most of which are probably being delivered to my company...which is a shame, because mannn do we use A LOT of paper on stuff people don't care about!
