Well, it looks like things have stopped again, as the new dumpster is now the old dumpster. It hasn't been emptied since it was place there a few weeks. I haven't seen any activity since.

What do they do, go in at 7am, pull out a piece of lath or a floorboard, put it in the dumpster, then call it a day at 7:15am?

Actually, I'm noticing that the recently installed windows are in the open position, so I guess something is going on.

Gyms are probably pretty simple buildings to put together. My guess is that once the shell gets enclosed the interior will go pretty fast. If they actually work on it, that is.

Well the floors really should be reinforced where the free weights will be...

So there is definitely activity there, as the door was opened, this morning. I also saw a flat-bed tractor trailer parked on Passyunk near the ACME. It was loaded with steel truss, which I assume is for the new roof structure and such.

Talked to the owner of sweat. They are going to start to make real progress now. The roof will be on in two weeks.

I couldn't figure out why they put new windows in a building with no roof. Anyway, good to know that they will be making progress.

Default Sweat is dead, maybe

I heard from a person who heard from a person that the Sweat is not happening now. Instead its going to be condos. Not sure how much to invest in this rumor as I heard it second hand, but that is the rumor mill.

Just what we don't need - more condos, particularly in a residential neighborhood like this.

SWEAT could've helped propel this neighborhood forward. Condos won't help the avenue budge forward even slightly. If they're going to waste the space, why don't they just make it another nail salon, chinese takeout, burrito joint, or a check cashing place.

I hope that rumor isn't true, that would be a total disappointment. Everything in this city moves at a snails pace. At this rate, it might take 2-3 years for them to finish renovating the building into anything.
