Hi all:
I've done the research, I think I know what I'm getting into- that I won't be able to walk/ride my bike after dusk, that i'll have keep a sharp eye out at all times, that I need a security system, a large, mean looking dog and my boyfriend to stay over as many nights per week as possible- and I'm settling on a well done rehab at the above location. If there are any new or old inhabitants of the area, please, introduce yourself... I think it's important that we have a community association, formal or not so that we don't feel overwhlemed. I'm interested in community building. Best, Rae |

It already is a trend. And it's already spawned its first newspaper article. A piece in the Philadelphia Bulletin about a couple that moved to Annin St. You won't be alone.

hey south philly lady, in reply to your question bout why i'm moving here - cause its a great house at a great price and its hella close to everything.
anyways, i already introduced myself to the ppls on my block and they seem nice enough. they say its a good block "except for the corners". guess thats where fools are slingin. i know i can live here and like it. you all seem so positive about the neighborhood and that gives me hope. seems to be a strong sense of community. The sad thing is that there are ALWAYS people standing on the opposite corner [it's a laundrymat]. Maybe we can drum up some care.
