Hey, watch it, dude! I fell for that one the first time I went in there, too.

God, if this were true, my Aunt Patty would be freaking out right now. Despite living right on 3rd & Shunk near Pathmark and the new Oregon Market (She would only shop there when it was still Acme a few years ago.), she will only get her groceries there. Are they a lot cheaper than Pathmark or something?

No, there's no real difference in price. It's probably just loyality on your aunts part. Back in the day (if I remember correctly), Acme was the Philly supermarket chain, and Pathmark was the foreign interloper.

Ah. Never knew that, but, it does explain the less modern look of Acme's stores now.

There is a Wegman's not too far over the Ben Franklin Bridge in Cherry Hill. About a 15 minute drive. It would be great if we could have one in the city though. I rarely go to the Cherry Hill Wegman's, I have a mental block about paying a toll to go grocery shopping. However, if you combine the Wegman's trip with a (relatively) cheap NJ gas fill up it could make sense!

Give Whole Foods &/or Super Fresh at 10th and South. Both are better than the Acme (imho) and both have parking.

Both are WAY better than the Acme. Even Whole Foods can be cheaper. I think that out of all the supermarkets here, Acme's got the worst prices.
