In my case, where I made the mistake of standing between someone's conversation, I was only going one stop.... that's why I didn't bother crawling over people to get a seat. As much as I would have liked to say something rude right back, (afterwards i thought of many things i would have loved to say ) I was speachless and just moved and didn't bother with her.

People should slide in when sitting in a double seated row.

Just had to add my 2 cents...

I don't like when people don't get up to let you into the window seat they just pivot their bodies. I'm not a small gal and I am usually caring a bag or something else cumbersome (the reason why I'm taking the bus) - I guess they don't mind getting hit with my stuff!

Yeah squishimichi, that too. That's why they should slide in, or get up so you can slide in if they need to get off the bus soon.

Since people seem to not get it, we should try to practice what we preach, and eventually maybe others will catch on.

Can I complain about people that eat on the bus. I can't tell you how many mornings I got to work queasy because someone was eating a chili cheese dog or burrito from 7-11. The smell in tight quarters - ugh.

I second this suggestion. More often than not, the smell permeates my hair and coat and takes about an hour after I get off the bus to disappear.
