Default Good Mechanics in South Philly

Hello,

This question was brought up in another neighbhourhood blog. Being that I am a new car owner (VW Jetta) and need to get my car inspected soon, etc. Who do you recommend for mechanics?

I took my car to Autoshow Collision when a truck hit my Mu-Mu ( yeah I named my car ) and they were great so that is the only recommendation I have in reference to cars.

Thank yo!

Thumbs up South Philly Car Guys

I said it before and I'll say it again, you'll never do better than Pinto's service station on Moyamensing near Wharton. Smart, honest, and a couple of nice guys that have been in that spot for almost 30 years. Besides a lot of people don't know this but a lot of mechanics take the customers cars to Pinto's because they can't do their own inspections, and they won't tell you that. They don't have the equipment.

Default trustworthy

I have to swear by Dom's auto repair in the 1900 block of 17th street. To me, the most important things are feeling like you can trust your mechanic, and having him stand behind his work. Dom's has never let our family down.

I second this. I've taken my car to them a couple of times and I've always been pleased.
