Talk about ethnic politics. I heard that possible mayoral candidate Johnny Doc had hundreds of lawn signs placed on the highway entering North Wildwood, NJ that said "Johnny Doc...100% Irish". This I guess to impress the tourists visiting there for the AOH Irish Festival this weekend. The inside scoop is that this was a direct shot at potential opponent Bob Brady whose mother is an Italian-American. Despite the chidish nature of the stunt, how do you think these signs will go over on South Broad in a couple of weeks during the Columbus Day Parade? Or in North or West Philly? Don't we need a mayor who will lead us all without these old fashioned sectarian views of this neighborhood v that neighborhood or this racial or ethnic group v that one?

No, they may have been placed there by leprachauns. People who were there saw them. It's likely true. Don't have an opinion about how they will go over at the Columbus Day Parade or Odunde Festival? Watch your Kool-Aid intake. Don't drink that stuff and try to any electrical work around the house.

The speed and assertiveness with which you came to JD's defense, is usually indicative of a Local 98 paycheck. Kool-Aid has nothing to do with ethnicity but everything to do with the mindlessness and lack of self will that usually accompanies past defenses of The Lord COD Almighty. Would you react the same if it was the mayor that said he was 100% black ? ( What would happen if he said the brothers and sisters are running the city ) again. I'm not interested in a mayor that is 100% anything.

If it was not for the constant dueling banner planes every weekend this summer, I might agree, but there were times when I was waiting for Baron Von Richtoffen and Snoopy to start opening fire on each other sometime mid August over North Wildwood Beach. Dougherty is a sick ego maniac with a cast of suck-ups that compete with each other to win the favor of their Lord. Each one hoping for for just one night at Never Land Ranch. Apparently, not everyone is Irish in N. Wildwood during the Irish Festival. Bob Brady is only 50%.
