Default St. Padre Pio Festival?

Hi! Has anyone been to the St. Padre Pio Festival at Annunciation BVM? What is it like?

We had fun last year - and this year looks like there is going to be even more fun.

Food and music is right. They have different musical acts playing and an assortment of local restaurants offering affordable samples of their dishes. It is nice to just wander over and enjoy everything that is going on.

The festival is on. rides for the kids. Lots of food. Petting zoo on Sunday.

Get ready to build new traditions in the neighborhood! On September 27th, PiazZa on Passyunk is the place to check out the best local artists, musicians, and gossip in South Philadelphia. PiazZa will celebrate the Avenue’s traditional role as a dynamic cultural stomping ground and bustling marketplace.

Entertainment will include:
v Viola played by Daniela Pierson at the fountain during the opening of the Farmer’s Market

From 5pm- 8pm
v Jim Fogarty & the ToneBenders will perform American Roots music included R&B and Rockabillie
v Familia Rojo’s will perform Puerto Rico’s most famous dance battle between drummers and dancers. Traditional singers will tell stories of the people known as the ‘singing newspaper’
v A Puppet Parade presented by Spiral Q Puppet Theatre
