Anyone read "the best of" selections in a recent south philly review?
I laughed out loud when they picked "burger king" as the the best burger.
Surely there is a better burger in SP?

Honestly when i want a burger those are the only 2 places I think of anywhere.

Where else you going to go in SP whose claim to fame is burgers?? Can't think of any.

I'm sure people in SP love burgers just like anywhere else, but I guess we concentrate more on hoagies steak sandwiches rost beef and rostbeef and let the chains handles burgers

Yeah, but I figured there must be some bar or retaurant that has a decent burger. I know sabrina's has a pretty good one.

It aint hardcore South Philly, but Vesuvios at 8th and Fitzwater makes a really good burger...Royal Tavern used to make an awesome one as well, but it's gone a bit south recently.(No pun intended)

Burger in South Philly? Famous Daves gets my vote. Seriously.

I'm with Malloy on that one. I know it's a chain, but their food is seriously good.

I like some of their food, but there is no excuse to serve frozen corn on the cob. Gross. I prefer the ribs at Tommy Guns and the smoked joint.

Me neither. Famous Dave's does have good ribs. I never considered getting a burger there.

I think it is a disgrace that Burger King was said to have the best burger in SP. WTF?
