Default Blown way outta proportion

Just queer friendly. One housemate is gay, I'm openly Bi, The other is straight... Just can't hate people that's all. So if you were a homophobe or a radical conservative who pushes their morals and religous ethics onto other people in the house, then no I won't rent the room to you.

Poor CombatBarbie, she justs wants to rent a room out, and in true Philly Blog Style, the thread is degenerating into debates about discrimination, housing law, etc. Gotta laugh.

In this case, I don't queer meant gay, rather, "eccentric."
I am pretty sure the federal laws about descrimination in emploment or housing don't apply to small family busineses or to dwelings with less than a certain minimum amount of rooms. Not sure about the state or local ones.

Gotcha, well that is simple enough. I understand now!

Southphillyman, Why is that funny? If someone was going to be moving into YOUR house, I'm sure you would want them to observe the rules of YOUR house. These rules would undoubtedly have arisen because of your moral ethics.

It's only common sense. I mean, why would anybody rent a room in their own house to someone who was going to be openly hostile towards them??! It's absurd.
