Passyunk Square Civic Association is holding a self-guided tour of homes throughout the Passyunk Square neighborhood as a fundraiser in their on-going campaign to solve trash problems in our neighborhood. All revenue from this fundraiser event will go to the Trash Committee of the Passyunk Square Civic Association (PSCA). Please consider volunteering to show your home in this unique and important event to benefit the overall neighborhood.

The occasion will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006, from noon to 5 p.m. In addition to raising funds for the PSCA Trash Committee, we hope to show homes that showcase all stages of renovation, provide a chance to compare contractors, get ideas, and meet your neighbors. Please note your home does not need to be in pristine condition, work-in progress (as well as not yet begun) homes will also be featured.

Participation is easy, log on to the PSCA website, complete a one page electronic form, and email to housetour@passyunk.org, and simply open your home on the day of the event. All forms are due NO LATER THAN Tuesday, March 10, 2006.

Again, please consider donating your time and your home on this special day for a very worthwhile cause. Every home will benefit in the end. It's been a really long day!

My husband and I are fixing up a house in the neighborhood, but I really don't think it is safe enough to put on the tour yet (holes in floors, nasty pointy things and what-not). Maybe we can be on the next tour and we can show pictures of what it looked like when it was unsafe.

BTW - you did a really good job explaining this whole thing at the PSCA meeting the other week. Hope you get a good response!
