...just as a note I always liked rowing in the rain...it caused more damage to your hands (the oars spin in your hands normally but wet oars spins harder) but the coolness of the rain feels great after a hard sprint. It'slike running wind sprints in the rain...nature's air conditioner...
but rain and cold...well my joints still hurt.
