Its located at Morris Street and Front Street in Pennsport.
Its an exquisite little gem. Anyone here go there? Joely Its BYOB. Interesting byob link Langostino's Front and Morris Sts. Philadelphia, PA 19148 215-551-7709 A terrific spot for Langostines and all things Italian. Perhaps the best food of all the Italian neighborhood tiny spots I have visited in the past year. Found at, http://www.eatwelldrinkbetter.com/byob.htm

I've eaten at Langostino. Delicious and affordable. I would definitely recommend it. The signature dish--pasta with langostines- is awesome.
Interesting link. He provides some useful info about the BYOBs, although he seems to make many errors with the restaurant names. It's just plain Langostino. No "s" at the end. He also does a funny thing where he misspells the restaurant, then puts the correct spelling in parentheses!! Theresa's (Teresa's), Dimitris (Dmitris). |

Thanks for the correction and for the recommendation. Yes I was there on Friday evening and we had a superb meal. No, let's say a superb EXPERIENCE! I would like to give a little plug for the smaller places around Pennsport, Bella vista, Northern Liberties, and Queen Village. These guys deserve our unending support.
I simply get annoyed whenever I am near Famous Dave's over at Columbus Blvd., and see the huge crowds pouring out of the parking lot. Its like there's a hurricaine coming or something! Joel Quote:

Actually I apologized too soon for propagating errors.
I welcome corrections but the awning says, Langostino's." Still, its best to be accurate. Joely Quote:

Looks like I owe you an apology! It's Langostino in the phone book and in Zagat's, but I would say the awning trumps both of those sources. The awning would also suggest that someone named "Langostino" owns the place! :-) Anyway, sorry for the confusion! Perhaps the proprietors are confused themselves... |

But thanks for raising the issue, because it reminds us to be very careful
about noticing the name. I was in a research program where one of the M.D., Ph.D.s called Dr. Berardino by the name, Dr. BerNardino. His own last name was strikingly similar, causing me great worry. In research every syllable counts! He should have noticed. Besides, with complicated last names, I will write it three or four times and then practice a couple of times because it has positive results. People are positively impressed when you remember their much-maligned last name! EDITing and ADDing, there is a stop and street near Wissahickon Drive known collectively as Allen's Lane, Allans Lane and Allen Lane. There are street signs and Septa signs to the effect of each of these appellations. Confusion reigns supreme in Philadelphia. Joel
