Maybe I should post this in Food & Drink, but this is a geography-specific question..

Where do people order for Delivery and Takeout in SWCC/GH/SoSo?

Right now, the few times I've gotten pizza were from "Town Pizza" on 19th and Spruce (loc?) And Chinese from Sechuan Hunan (sp?)- not sure where that is (my wife's pick..)

I know people have to get delivery sometime.. no? Any better suggestions?

Lazzaro's Pizza and Gusto (22nd and Locust?) delivers also China Pagoda on 15th & Samson. Diningin.com delivers from a ton of restaurants but they are VERY expensive. I wish I knew more too, I hate to cook.

Yes, Gusto! 22nd, near Locust. Absolutely the best pizza, trust me. Been ordering from them for so long that when we moved and ordered at the new house, the delivery guy said: "Oh, you moved!"

Also, Square on Square at 19th& Chestnut delivers down here. The best Chinese we've found. It tastes like good food, not greasy fast-food.

There's also Omega on 22nd & South for your basic greasy food, but they're not as good lately as they used to be.

Paolo's Pizza on 13th and Pine (I think) they have really good pizza and deliver pretty far.

I second square on square - really great food, although a little pricey.

Yes - Paolo's -- I've had their pizza a couple of times and it IS really good..

Also - I've passed Square on Square many times and never knew what it was - I never hear about it through other sources (word of mouth, print, internet) and it's kind of hidden and mysterious, but not enough to risk a bad food experience.. good to know that it's actually good and that they deliver..

The South Philadelpia Review had a review of Square on Square about 2 weeks ago. It was Phyllis Stein Novack's weekly restaurant review. She gave it a really good write up.

old pine pizza (11th & pine) delivers. they have decent pizza and it is cheap. about $10 for a large with two toppings. i also read on the blog that penang (malaysian) delivers. they are located in chinatown. i haven't tested this yet, though.

We like Randazzo's on South Street for decent basic pizza, and when I'm craving truly junky junk food, I always order from Southside. Both deliver. We can second (or third) Gusto for really good pizza... I didn't know they delivered down here though so that's good to hear!
