There's a place on Girard with all modern bath vanities. I can't remember the name, but it's across Girard from the Benjamin Moore paint at 210 W. Girard.

Waterworks is a nice store if you can eat LeBecFin for lunch everyday.

There is no way I will pay for a $1200 shower head, the stuff there is really nice, but a tab over priced for a DIYer'.

I'll check out that Girard Ave place after my granite tiles dry...

Thanks!

Don't be scared off by the crazy crap they have in the window - it's not representative of the stuff inside. I bought a couch I love there, got a great price and when it didn't fit through the door, they held onto it for two weeks until I got new windows. Then they delivered it again for free, slipped it right through the window. Plus, you can barter.

Yes, it is a great place if your point of reference for home design is Graceland. I'm sorry, I have walked around in there, but never saw anything that I would actually consider putting within 50 feet of my house... maybe it has changed since then; I don't know.

I was trying (and failing) to come up with a tactful way of saying this.

Seriously when I went to Graceland in 2005, I was like... OH! I didn't know The King shopped in South Philly!! Then I realized that Elvis picked out the design for his home in the 50s and 60s and the furniture store on Passyunk has that stuff NOW.... so... yeah.

GO TO PIER ONE IMPORTS!!! That's my style. :-)

Back to modern vanities: There's a store on 13th just above Walnut that has them, but I can't remember the name. (What a help, eh?)
