Crime Update
The suspect in the string of armed robberies from a bicycle, that we emailed a warning about on Wednesday evening, was apprehended and is in custody. Thank you to the great work of the Philadelphia Police at the South Street Ministation and 3rd district for again taking a criminal off our streets.

We will continue to notify the neighbors when we are made aware of crime trends like this case. As always, please call 911 if you are the victim of any crime or witness illegal or suspicious activities.

As we have mentioned in the past, please do not attempt to resist an armed robber. It is better to be an uninjured witness/victim to a crime than to resist and potentially be harmed. Your valuables can be replaced, your health can not.

Bella Vista cleanups -

Philadelphia More Beautiful has announced the following dates for this years cleanups - July 16 and August 27, 2005. As usual, BVTW will be conducting graffiti removal in our neighborhood the same day. Please mark your calendar, details above

Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission -

We will be announcing shortly the upcoming dedications of two historical locations in Bella Vista. Exciting details to follow.

Anti-graffiti: Contact Tom Kroljic to adopt a mailbox, help photograph and catalog graffiti or to help clean-up graffiti (supplies provided)

Zoning: June 14 is the next zoning meetings - contact the zoning committee before the meeting with any questions. Additional summer dates are tentatively July 12th and August 16th.
