Default my project loft -pics inside *need help!

This is a work loft that belongs to my friend. I will rent it for a while till I find a good deal to purchase. Hopefully 6 mos max. **he will be gutting it and fully rehabbing it as a main residence once I move out**

Since Im getting a great rental rate, its up to me to make it look decent with little cash outlay. There will be a real kitchen sink installed.

I can get paint for next to nothing, and fabric row is a few blocks away...so once I get rollling I will come back with pics.

If anyone has ideas (Im new to this type of project) please share. I need all the help I can get

ps. the private roof deck, and indoor garage parking kicks ass.

Does this mean that Phillyblog moderators get to watch the BF Brdige fireworks from the roof top deck of your new temporary digs?

Look like a piece of porperty with quite a ton of potential.

The design store on sansom has some cool loft design books. The chain stores, Borders and B&N have some stuff as well. Basically I recommend you grab a coffee and look at like 20k pictures of lofts around the world. Some good cheap ideas can be found.

Welcome to the hood.

Hrmmm. I think it's on 17th. It's affiliated with some school, i'm fairly new to Philly I don't know which school. I think it's across from the sofitel. The loft books are in the back. We found most of the same loft books at b&n or was it powells as well, can't recall.

Anyway these are books for architecture design geeks, no text all photos, thousands of them.

Yeah not many lofts in the area by default just loft conversions and those are rare and of course pricey. Not enough of that type of housing in the area I think. It could use it.

.
AIA Bookstore on the corner of Samson and 17th

Also a block further along is the charming Joseph Fox book shop - has a ton of achitecture / design books in the back.

Getting there. So far, my $400.00 budget seems like a reality I managed to find just about everything for free so far...and paint cost me $8 /gal instead of the usual $20++.
