It is new ownership, but the same exact staff.
I dropped my dog off this morning. It looks like they made some improvements to the inside. My wife, dog and I have always been happy with their service. However, this is our first visit with the new name/ownership. |

It's now owned by Queen Village Animal Hospital.

I'm not sure of the exact circumstances, but the only reason I know there's now a connection is because I was just at QVAH earlier to get my dog's rabies vaccine, and they had a sign announcing that they now own the grooming shop.

OH...cool. They should do well being able to co-market both places.
The wording on the grooming window had an explanation that didn't directly say anything about QVAH owning it-just said that the former owner took a position with QVAH.

Oh So Pretty was bought by QVAH. When I dropped my dog off a few months ago they said they had been bought by them and when you go to Oh So Pretty's website it says she recently sold her downtown office.
We just had our dog groomed the other day and he looks great! It doesn't look like the quality of the work they do has changed. |

You could always pop in and just ask, business owners/managers love nothing more than to talk about themselves.

I took my puppy (about 10 pounds) there a year ago to have his nails trimmed. He was terrified and they made it so much worse. They made me wait outside (fine, I can understand that), then he had an accident and they made a huge issue over it. It is a place for dogs and dogs have accidents. I gave them an extra tip (twice the amount due) because at the time, I felt badly that it was such an issue. No "thank-you" or anything re: the tip. After thinking about it, I became furious at how they treated my little guy. Just very unprofessional given the type of business it is. Obviously, I never went back. I don't mind paying more as long as my dog is well cared for and happy. Maybe they will re-staff.

Lucky Dog Grooming Salon is owned by Queen Village Animal Hospital who purchased it in summer '08. Previously, under different ownership, it was called Oh So Pretty. I love this place! It is still the same great staff as before the changeover, plus a few new staff, and a whole new remodel. My dog gets groomed there and I always get a great result, whether it was before or after the changeover. My neighbor took her dogs for the first time and loves the look, how clean it is, the service, the groomers cause they love the dogs, and the price. I would say they are a little below the usual charge. My dog's bad skin condition was noticed during grooming and the groomers actually called me mid-groom and had the vet check it out at the salon. My neighbor's dog hates to be groomed and the vets from the animal hospital can now sedate it so it is not stressed out during grooming. It really is a great place.
